About Sierra Leone Commercial Bank

The Sierra Leone Commercial Bank' record of continuing success since it was founded in February 1973, is eloquent testimony to the fact that where Sierra Leoneans with the relevant ability, training, experience and integrity are given an opportunity, they could perform equally if not better than anyone else. And so it is with this Institution which must pride itself for being one of the few success stories among parastatals in this country that find it difficult to cope in the present hostile economic environment.

I pay tribute to the founding fathers of the Bank both at the level of Directors and Management for having laid a strong and solid foundation on which those of us that followed continue to build. From very modest beginnings the Bank has grown to a level, which must make all Sierra Leoneans proud.

I extend warmest congratulations to the Management and staff and I hope they will continue to be inspired by the high ideals for which this Institution is known.
